Beachy Cupcakes

Last night while most of the world slept, I stayed up making about a trillion of these..

To bring to the hydrocephalus picnic today which was alot of fun.

They are cute and went over really well. They are however, packed with sweet sugar and when my Kody scoped out a cute girl at the picnic and pretty much ditched his little brother for a good hour or more, Kolin decided to ease his hurt heart by scarfing down about 7 of them.

He was wired and believe me when I say, it was along, long, loooonnnnng ride home with the boy.
But, I still love him anyway cuz he is darn cute and when he smiles he melts my heart and all.

I can't take credit for inventing those cute cupcakes, well...because I am a Good Morning America fan and I saw it on there one morning last week.

If you'd like to give it a go...follow these steps in which I have made easy and foolproof.
If I can make them, you can too. Don't ever lost that thought.

OK...go out and buy:

A box of cake mix
Vanilla frosting
Wiltons frosting coloring gel in blue
Brown sugar
Cupcake liners {one pack plain and one pack super cute}
Tiny paper umbrellas

Put your cake mix together and bake it into cupcakes. Use the plain liners when you bake.
In the meantime, scoop out the vanilla frosting into a bowl.
Start to add the blue coloring, a little at a time. It is concentrated and a little goes a long way.
When your cupcakes are done and cooled, slip a cute liner on them.
Splash some blue frosting on top.
Sprinkle some brown sugar on half to represent beach sand.
Stick a paper umbrella in the sand.
Keep them pretty far away from kids with ADHD.

Baa-Daa Bing, Baa-Daa boom.

How scrumptiously adorable are these?

Have a great day everyone!!
We will be beachin' it all day Sunday, so if you happen to find yourselves in Crystal River, you'll find us there chillin' with some burgers and chips.
If you can't smell the burgers, then look for the Transforms kite...it'll be flying for sure. :0)

Golden Boy

Just another of the last of the litter...

GoldenBoy

In a couple of hours we will be taking off for the Hydrocephalus family Support Group picnic out in Maitland.
The last time we went Karlio did some dang fine grillin' and when we got the call last week to invite us and to ask if he'd like to spend some time behind the grill pit again...well, how could we say no?
The picnics are sponsored by the Dr's at the neurosurgery/hydrocephalus center and since they love our kid....we love them alot too.
Plus it gives Bear a chance to hang out with other hydro kids and Kolin a chance to run himself ragged with the sibs.
Lots of good people, awesome kids and TDF food. It is going to be a great day today for sure.

Welp, I do have a few things to get done before we take off...so for now I will wish you all a very happy day and we will get together a little later on {or tomorrow...LOL!!}.

Later Gators!!

Just don't tell Kody and Kolin cuz they think we belong to them. :0)

Ghost Bride

I have always had a fascination for the other side and the cemetery we visited over the weekend had, for sure, lots of spirit still left in it.
Although it may not be in everyone's taste, {and I do apologize in advance} this plot I found just pulled me in and this was the vision I got from it.

GhostBride

Look closely in the upper left corner. Can you see who is watching?

OK...so much for that. I think today I will shoot some cute kittens. LOL!!

Have a great day everyone!!

I am off to Kody's school to sign off on his half day hospital homebound for the year. Since he is doing so awesome, when he goes back to school in August, he will once again become a full time student.
Go Bear!!!!

The Boy Who Will Not Fail....

No matter how many hurdles this kid jumps, no matter how many obstacles are placed in his way, no matter how many times he it told "there is no cure", no matter how many walls he has to break through, no matter how many life changes, teasing, humiliation, and newly forced upon ways of living are thrown at him, this kid will prevail.

His vocabulary does not nor ever has included the word "failure".

This is our Bear. Perseverer of all things seemingly impossible.

Kody 012

Twenty one months ago Kody's voice started to slowly but surely leave us. Every month that clicked by it got worse and worse.
These past six months or so have been heartbreaking. Dr. after Dr. could not tell us why he was losing the ability to talk.
That is until we found Dr. Barr, Kody's new neurologist in Orlando.
After researching for months and after taking Kody to specialist after specialist he was officially diagnosed with "Spasmodic Dysphonia", a condition in which the vocal cords do not work properly. There is no cure, only temporary treatments of Botox to the vocal cord muscle.
Speech therapy was an option...it would not bring his voice back but it would help him learn to breath, relax, try again.
We brought him week after week for his therapy only to have it not work.
It was heartbreaking for not only Kody, but for us, his family and for his therapist as well who tried so hard to help this teenager fit in with his peers.

Last month Kody had started using the sign language that we had been practicing. His voice was 99.9% gone and signing helped him get his point across.
Trust me, when he was pissed or upset, some signs were alot more graphic then others. Hey...just trying to keep it real here. LOL!

Bear lost his desire to smile and that was obvious by most of his recent photos.
He had the ability to smile...but his spark was slowly but surely being extinguished by that damn disease that was virtually unheard of in children.
We {his Dr's and us} searched and begged specialists from all over Florida and other states to take him on as a patient and treat him but to no avail. There was not a Dr. out there who was willing to inject this child's vocal cord muscle. Too much of a liability, we were told.

While some people lost hope...we never did. How could we? Bear had already beaten so many odds it didn't seem right to quit now.
So, we did the only thing we could..we prayed and we prayed and we prayed everyday, many times a day.
Kody's voice was not in our hands anymore...we had to turn our son over, once again, to our God.

While most Mom's from all over the world celebrated Mother's Day with cards, flowers, and hugs we also celebrated by visiting Kayara and Adriana in Cape Coral.
It was an awesome day...but I had no clue as to how much more awesome that day would become.

My friends and family...
Mother's Day 2009 will always hold a very special meaning for me.
It was on that day that, sometime in the late afternoon while Kayara and I prepared dinner for our families and the noise of our combined families chatting, playing, TV running, video games playing, that Kaysha spoke up and said "Has anyone noticed Kody's voice is back?"
Yes..you heard that right and just like that we were given another awesome gift.

Kody has his beautiful boyish voice back again.
He can talk, he can sing {though much like me and believe me, we will never be American Idol material!}, he can speak clearly, he can say "I love you Mom" and those are four priceless words that I thought I would never hear again from my Bear.

Once again, after twenty one long months of worry, frustration, sadness, and anger...our Bear is back and better then ever.
Next Friday he will graduate the 7th grade.
He will take off for another week of Camp Boggy Creek.
He talks for hours on the phone with his new g-friend, Ashley.
He sings in the shower, in the car, plugged into his radio, just about anywhere. He doesn't even need music..he just sings and he smiles and best of all...
Kody laughs.

What more could a Mom ask for?
Nothing...absolutely nothing. :0)

Have a beautiful day everyone and for Kody....sing today. It doesn't matter how you sing, or where you sing, or what you sing...just sing.
Voices are beautiful and Bear is definitely proof of that.

Spooks

At Lone Oak yesterday I came across an awesome piece of land with some extremely old stones on it.
It had to have been a family plot at one time..and I am sure it still is, but it was...well..unkept, but in a very cool kind of way.

Anyway, I shoot a few snaps of it and went a little crazy with the manipulation today.

Can you guess what's real and what isn't?

cemetary

Coming tomorrow...some really great news I have been keeping fom you for the past few weeks.
Not the summertime news yet but news you won't want to miss. :0)

Have a great night everyone!!

Leesburg History 101

While walking around our local Lone Oak cemetery yesterday and checking out all the old, I am talking seriously old headstones around the 1800's section...we discovered this one, which up until yesterday, had no idea even existed.

So, just like we did yesterday...now you too can have a little Leesburg history trivia. How cool is that? :0)

Oh, and yes..crazy as it may sound...exploring old cemeteries is one of the things I love to do. Unfortunately, we don't have many around here. As it turned out though, Lone Oak which is only 2 miles away, turned out to be a keeper.
I'll have more photos coming soon.

Welp, the kids are back in school today after a three day weekend. Kolin graduates 5th grade next Thursday, Kody 7th grade on Friday and then they are mine for the summer.
Got to get working on that pool. LOL!

I hope your day is a really good one.
Since today feels more like Monday to me, I better get going and get all those Tuesday a/k/a Monday morning errands over and done with.

Corn On The Cob On The Beach

Seems lately we live on the beach every weekend. typically beach going families bring hot dogs and hamburgers and we do too sometimes.
But really...beach days are not going to interrupt this families nutritional needs and the little hellraisers I call my boys, will have their veggies..no matter what.

Here is a great little recipe brought to you by the cooker of our family, Karlio himself.

You really don't have to make this at the beach but you will have to cook them up on a charcoal or gas grill.

OK, so here is what you need:

Corn on the cob...sweet corn works the best.
Lightly salted sweet cream butter {softened}
Salt & Pepper
Aluminum foil
A grill

Here is what you do, step by step.

Get out your corn...

Pull down the husks which leaves your corn looking much like this stringy mess...

Tear off all that silky string stuff {whatever it's called}
Here is what your naked corn will look like...

Now, the messy part.
Take out your softened butter and slap that stuff on your corn. Smother it good, don't be shy...you know you love butter just as much as we do.
Mmmmmm.......butter.
Shake some salt and pepper on the butter if you want, we didn't add the salt cuz Karlio and my blood pressure will raise the roof and no pepper cuz Kody would have a tizzy if he saw a speck of pepper on his. We just douse them later.

This is what your corn will look like...

Now, redress your corn by pulling those husks back up....

Roll the whole thing up in foil and oh yes, don't pull off that little handle thing..you'll need it later...

This is what they look like all rolled up pretty sitting next to one of my favorite bags in the world..my beach bag which matches my favorite beach bikini. I just love Ocean pacific, don't you?
OK..enough about me.

Now, put those beautiful babies on the grill and let them cook for about 40 to 45 minutes or so.
Put them on alone...

Or have them chum up with some meat, chicken makes a great partner....

Take them off the grill when they are done and your plate will look something like this...

Peel the foil off {careful hot stuff!}, peel the husks back down and what you get is this...

Happy Corn...Happy Kid...Happy Parents.

Have a great day everyone!!!

The New Computer Is Here!

WAA-HOO...this machine rocks!!
Photoshopping on a 7 gig HP with a high definition 24" flip screen monitor is, well, how can I put this......

TOTALLY FREAKIN' COOL DUDE!!!!!!

Yes..I am spoiled, so what's your point? LOL!!

So, as soon as this going on 7 days straight of rain, stops, I can finally get out and rock the camera.
Though..I do have a corn recipe to share, don't I?
OK...so that will give me something to do tomorrow for oh, can we say....15 seconds. Cuz well..you know, this machine rocks and everything I do on it is as fast as blinking an eye.

Gawd I love that man of mine. {big ole' puffy heart}

Till tomorrow...everyone out there, ya'all have an wonderful day!!

Hair That Is TDF...And Smells Nice Too

No photoshop computer yet..Come on Friday, GET HERE!

So...to end my boring {but not as rainy} Thursday, I guess I'll just continue to dazzle you my friends, with some more beauty treatments secrets of the not so pro's...ummmmmm, yes, that would be me.

Like most high maintenance females I have a never ending supply of hair care products. Since I am OCD in many ways, my shampoo and my conditioner just have to match or there is no way I will use it.
Bottom line...no matchy, no usey.

Depending on my many moods, kind of depends on what I'll be using that day.
Lately though, since I have been in such a "beachy/outdoor/fun in the sun" mood, this product suits my every need/want/desire...

Aussie Moist

Not only does it clean great and drench that sun kissed dried hair problem of mine with lots of yummy moisture stuff...it also has a quality I simply cannot ever life without....

The ability to make my wavy hair smell incredibly delish...kind of like coconuts on a wavy, sunny Key West beach.
Even better yet..it stays that way for a long, long time.
No wimpy scented shampoo and matching conditioner for HM me {that's high maintenance as the ole' man likes to call me from time to time}.

So, while your out de-puffing your eyes and stopping by for that McCafe to put a peaceful end to some of life's more stressful moments...go ahead and get yourself some Aussie. Priced affordable and made to make your man, or your kids, or your mailman, or your grocery clerk, or anyone else who gets close to your head say...

"Ohhhhhhh hot damn Baby, you smell freakin' nice!"

And, btw..that was meant in the most romantic way possible.

Have a great day everyone!!

Till tomorrow...

Take A Hike You Puffy Baggage!

While my BFFL Photoshop CS3 Extended is down for a few more days and because the never ending supply of cold rain keeps falling from the sky and literally making me yawn about six trillion times a day and because I always feel this twinge of guilt {ahem...cough..cough...Sheila..LOL!} if I don't blog about something everyday I thought today I would continue yesterday's McCafe plug {which btw, nope I get nothing from McD's for plugging, dang} by sharing with you one of my favorite products ever.

If you have {or had in my lucky case} some seriously unattractive puffy, dark under eye baggage, then you too will love this.

Skin Renewal Anti-Puff Eye Roller

Now normally I would never consider spending $12.00 on a new magic skin product cuz I know only too well how the advertisements make everything look like a miracle cure, however..this one really works..for real, no joke, I wouldn't kid.
Plus, it's kind of like a little cooling under eye massage..very nice.

Just roll it under the eyes morning and night and within a week you'll see a difference. Within two weeks you'll be wowed by the difference. In three weeks you'll look and if your like me, start to act a whole lot younger.
It's amazing what pretty eyes can do for ya.

Go forth and shop at your local Wally World for the best price and while your at it, stop off at McD's for a sugar free vanilla iced coffee..large of course.
You'll be soooo happy you did.

No thanks needed, that's why I am here, to help, to love, to conquer.
BTW..thank Sheila, cuz without her spreading the guilt love, I may not have blogged at all today.

Have a great day everyone!!

Rainy Tuesday...Hurry Up Friday

It has been raining constantly since Sunday night, which is a good thing in it's on little way since we are in a drought.
However..being without my PC with my dear friend Photoshop CS3 installed in it is making me a very cranky and miserable person.
So, in order to chase the blues away I have discovered that Heaven is located only a mile and a half from our home and I have been making a point of visiting everyday.

Come with me my friends, and let me introduce to you...my new Heaven. Just Click Here.
So many flavors...so many calories...it's raining...who cares? :0)

This morning since Karlio doesn't start work till 12:30-1 o'clock...we decided to get some exercise and do some "mall walking". Yes we are getting old, no we don't really care.
It was fun and since I just have to bring home a little something, I couldn't resist some bright red shoelaces for my boring white on white Converse.
A little pop of color makes the world so good again, don't you think?
Anyway, we weren't gone all that long when Kody's school called to say he was having a super really nasty headache and just like that we were off to fetch him.
The bad news is...he is still hurting even after two Naproxen and one $40.00 Maxalt. {UGH!}.
His right eye looks great but his left eye is rolling up.
Houston, we could have a problem. Tomorrow we will keep him home and keep a real good eye on him.
These problems may be occurring because we had to switch his anti-seizure medication, Keppra to the generic version of it. The Pharmacist actually warned us to be careful and careful we will be, since some kids start to seize again on the generic form.

Sorry I don't have any new pictures to post but Karlio's PC is on the verge of throwing up with my photoshop in it, so any photos will have to wait till the weekend. Sad, I know. :0(

Well my friends and family, it is time to get the dinner on the table. Hopefully the rain, though needed, I know, will subside some cuz with the rain..Karlio don't get to work much. There is nothing to fix on 32 trucks that aren't moving. BLAH!

Have a great day everyone!!!

The Bear

This was edited on Karlio's PC and the photoshop on it is, well..off.
So..though it may have looked kind of OK on my side...I am not sure what it looks like on your side.
No doubt I will be re-doing it again sometime, it's that Photoshop OCD in me. LOL!!

Needless to say, Friday can't come fast enough for me because I have an awesome delish grilled corn on the cob recipe just waiting to be a part of your family.
Look for it this weekend {I hope}. :0)

Have a beautiful day everyone!!

Two Million Baby!

Tonight it was pointed out to me by Karlio that "Kody's Story" {our original site} has over 2 million hits and perhaps I should get off my lazy non-updating butt and update it once in a while.
So..I did.

Seriously though, HOLY CANNOLI...Two Million Hits Baby!! That's alot of caring people who still visit the Bear on Caring Bridge.

To celebrate the 2 million mark tonight I am putting up this funky cool purple octopus.
Yes, I realize that a purple octopus has nothing to do with Kody but, seeing as my computer is being replaced by a super charged, kick me in teh butt and leave everyone else in the dust computer but it won't be here till Friday, it's all I had on hand..cuz right now I am using Karlio's PC and
it...

is.......

soooooo..........

freakin'.................

S...l....o....w.................

**yawn**

BTW, I have ADD and I love caffiene and I am soooooo not into slow.

So, here's the purple octopus, I shot her last weekend out in Little Pine Island and she is just stinkin' glorious in her purple perfection...don't you think?

Have a great night everyone!!

We beached it today and I am kind of really, seriously tired.

Sea Shells

One of the fun things about beachin' in Florida is the never ending quantity of sea shells, laying right there at the shore.

However, fun as shelling can be, there does come a point when you just can't bring them all home anymore.
So...the boys make shell piles and then when the day is over...we leave them there, unless of course we find something totally cool that we don't have yet and we add that to our never ending collection at home.

Here's some...

Today has been a pretty good day and tomorrow I believe we will head back to the west coast and at the end of our day..visit that kick butt green building I have had my eye on for weeks. Though I haven't gotten the boys their "Fedora's" yet...ahhh, no worries, there will be lots of other days for that too. The good thing about life is, there is always the next time, right?

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

My Mom's Day Gift From The Boys

I love when a holiday comes up...especially a day like Mom's Day, where I really didn't need a thing {want and need are two different things around here..LOL!} and the only thing that could have made me happy {besides a Ferrari, a day at a spa, 20 new pairs of shoes, my own island, a super charged kick a$$ computer and a red Zune} was for my boys to give me a few precious moments of their oh soooo precious {a/k/a we have other things to do} time so that I can go a little snap happy.
Kolin barely squeaked through it and Kody ended up getting way too into it, as the outtakes I'll show you soon will tell.

Here's a couple of my two favorite kids in the world...

"Wild Man"

CanaveralBeach 012

And his trusty sidekick...

CanaveralBeach 013

It's a TGIF day around here today. We are seriously all looking forward to a chilled out weekend of doing not too much.
Depending on the weather depends where you'll find us.
It's getting to be the famous Florida rainy season, which during the day lasts for oh, maybe 15 minutes. It's not so much the rain that's a PITA cuz we need the rain terribly after being in a severe drought for months, it's the lightening that comes with it..incredible.
I wouldn't mind it so much if I could just get a chance to get it on film or actually in my case, megapixel. That would be awesome.

Have a really great day everyone!!

Coconuts

While we were exploring Little Pine Island over the weekend, we came across a field of thousands of coconut trees.
It kinda reminded me of a scene from "Gilligans Island" {yes, I am showing my age here}, which in turn had me having the Gilligan's Island theme song stuck in my head all day long.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale....

Now, if you just clicked on that link..you'll have it stuck in your head all day too. :0)

Here's some quick snaps of those cool coconut tree's..

Hope everyone has an awesome day today!!

Surfer Boys

I really "big puffy heart" this picture. :0)

CanaveralBeach 003 copy 2

Yesterday I asked the boys to pose for a few, as a Mom's Day gift. They did and I have to say..over the next few days I am gonna be showing those two off quite a bit. LOL..try to humor me, OK? Please?
Also..because they are boys and since my older one can be a goof..I have lots of outtakes so I will definitely have to have an "outtake day" very soon, cuz everyone needs a good laugh every now and then, right?

Have a wonderful night everyone!!

Yellow

I found these yellow flowers at a place we were checking out this weekend, which just so happens to weave right into the summertime news. :0)

They sure are pretty, aren't they?

The space shuttle went off without a hitch yesterday, but..because of the clouds overhead, it wasn't a real photogenic launch. I mean, seriously...it lasted all of 10 seconds, a little orange glow, a not too exciting smoke trail and then it was gone behind the clouds.
The funny thing is you would not believe how many people showed up on the beach, camera in hand, expecting to see something phenomenal.
The beach was packed, then as soon as it launched, we seriously had the whole beach to ourselves. It was great. :0)

It was, on the other hand, too windy to cook out so at the end of the day we packed up and headed back towards home to the railroad park and we grilled us some Italian sausage, peppers and onions.
The boys had a pretty fun time gator hunting and running around with these walkie talkie things we have for them {so we know where they are at at all times, mainly on the beach} and when we were done and dang full...we packed it up again and headed for home. Which, by then..felt like a really good place to be.

I'll have lots more pictures from the weekend to show but right now, I better get myself in gear and get some stuff done around here that I have been totally ignoring these past few days.

Have a great day everyone!!

Little Boo

Her Mama and Daddy are so, sooooo lucky.

Because every time I would try to slip her in the car to come home with me, her "Pa-Pa" would bring her back to her rightful owners. LOL!!

I can't believe how much she's grown!! Let's see...she talks, I mean really talks a mile a minute.
She loves her "babies" and their "bobbles" {bottles}.
She is in complete control of picking out her own outfits everyday {dresses..always}.
She has a shoe collection bigger then mine.
She loves to have her nails polished and has to pick out the colors for that too.
She is just about potty trained.
She says "cheese" in front of the camera. {I could kick her Mama's butt for that..LOL!}
She is the happiest, most beautiful baby I have ever seen.
I miss that Little Baby Boo so much already that I am seriously now wanting to move to Cape Coral. :0(

BTW...her Mama's nickname growing up was "Boo-Boo" cuz she forever had scraped up knees. So..Adri's nickname is "Little Boo" or "Firecracker" or "Coppertop" or "Princess" or "Strawberry Shortcake". :0)

OK..so we are getting ready and we are off to Canaveral Beach today. Pictures of the space shuttle coming soon.

Have a BEAUTIFUL day everyone!!!

The Love Shack

This isn't the final clue, but in our exploring travels around Little Pine Island today, I couldn't resist these pretty sweet "clues" for the summertime news. :0)

It was an awesome day today..a real long day, but totally sweet. Seeing our sweet little Adriana was the best Mama's Day gift ever. But, man how badly I miss that little redheaded firecracker. :0)
I've got some new pictures of her, so be on the look tomorrow or Tuesday.

Tomorrow is a get out of school free pass for Kody and Kolin. We will be taking an educational trip to see the space shuttle launch, above the ocean on the East coast.
The last time we tried this, my camera battery decided it was a great day to crap out.
This time we'll have better luck toting a camera with a brand spankin' new, fully charged, battery. Who knew those things just poop out like that? Ummm...not I.

Welp my friends/family...we put in over 500 miles today and a cramped car with three kids {Kaysha came too}, so it is time for us to park our butts in bed and get some sleep.

We hope you Mom's Day was a beautiful one. :0)

Love, Kim

Happy Mother's Day!

We are getting on the road bright and early this morning to head down south to Cape Coral to see Kayara and Adriana. It's a 3 hour drive so we will be gone all day.

I wanted though, to wish you all a very Happy Mothers Day.

Have fun...relax...make memories.

We'll be talking to you tomorrow. :0)

Way Of The Warrior 2009

The boys did AWESOME today!!

We just got home a little while ago, they trained hard from 9 AM till about 4:30 PM.

This is what they looked like after training in the 93 degree heat all day...

Not too shabby, huh? I mean seriously..they would be wheeling me out of there in a stretcher within the first 30 minutes, no joke.

Anyway...after all teh training, they played on the campground with lots of friends, went on a "snipe hunt" and ate like mad.
Now though...we are whooped tired and ready for the ole' sack.

Have a great night everyone!!

The Dragon

One thing you can always depend on at the beach is lots of kite flying. It's pretty cool to let your kite go and not have to worry about it for the rest of the day. We fly ours every week too, just because it's sweet to look at and the boys always have a visual of where we are are.
Usually when you spot a flying "Blue Angels" kite or a "Buzz Lightyear", that's where you can find us.

Last weekend though...every kite on the beach was put to shame when we saw this one...

That dragon was the most awesome thing in the sky that day. Even better..the guy flying it had no problem at all with my asking if I could snap a few pictures of it.
Wanting that kite or one similar to it real bad, I asked him where he got it. As it turns out, that dragon has been around for 20 years when he bought it somewhere out in Clearwater, Florida.
And..as if that dragons story couldn't get better. He told me that at one time he was flying it on a beach in Florida when a poet, who was hanging on the same beach that particular day, walked over to him and handed him a sheet of paper in which he had just written an original poem titled "The Lone Dragon".
Talk about cool, huh?

Well my friends, I am off to have a lunch date with Kolin today. Errands to run and tomorrow the boys have their all day martial arts/combat outside at the state park training day, so I have to pick up some water for that too.

I know I am way late in getting that last clue up...by the time the weekend is over..I am for real this time, no..really...serious, no joke. LOL!!

Have a great day all!!

Return Of The Umbrella

I am obsessed, I admit it. Big rainbow umbrellas and kids that look like they should be on a surfboard are my newest addiction. :0)

I found this kickin' bright green with black trim building out in Crystal River a few weeks ago that I got to have..I am talking seriously need to use that building as a backdrop to two unsuspecting kids who if I can get my way...will be sporting some equally as kickin' "Fedora" style hats and standing cool in front of that building as a Mom's Day gift to me.

Sorry about not getting that last clue photo up yesterday, as you can guess..the day it just slipped right past and before you know it..it was midnight.
So....I will get to working on that today if it is the only thing I accomplish this morning.

Well..gotta run!!

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Dreamers

“No dreamer is ever too small; no dream is ever too big.”

I love the way those two will find a small secluded spot, away from the rest of the world.
I have no idea what they are talking about...girls, friends, girls, music, girls. LOL!
Well, whatever it is...I sure hope they are thinking about their future and dreaming big about it. They are our future and the world belongs to them.

Dream big!!

Bubbles And Fun Sticky Explosive Things

Yesterday afternoon, when the boys got out of school, we split for the State Park for a little bit.
It was the perfect place for Kolin to work on the finishing touches of his Science Fair project, which because Kolin is who he is..always has to be something explosive and messy.

This year had something to do with soda, Mentos, Alka-Seltzer and balloons.
And ahhh, yeah..it was very wet and very sticky and as far as Soda/Alka-Seltzer/Balloons are concerned....explosive is a pretty good descriptive word.

Here's my two favorite mad scientists right now, look at that concentration will ya...

As you can see here..Alka-Seltzer dropped into a bottle of soda will blow the lining right out of an innocent balloon...

On a more gentler note...bubble blowing was pretty fun too, and alot less messy. :0)

I "heart" pretty bubbles.

I "heart" you guys and gals alot too and because I do, I will be posting the final summertime news clue tomorrow sometime.

Have a great day everyone!!

Love, Kim
